The Competition section brings together films from around the world that have yet to be shown in Asia.
A wide variety of films, from those by rookie directors to veterans,
and from romantic films to action mega productions, have been lined up.
Though they are varied, all 15 films contain emotionally stirring images and human
dramas that strike a chord with the viewer regardless of nationality.
All of the selected films have a feeling of scale, where their great potential can be sensed.
Films are a mechanism that is capable of universalizing diverse and different
regions and cultures through images and stories.
Films in the Competition section will, it is hoped, present an opportunity
to enjoy the appeal that is unique to films.
